I would like to say the game between Paulding and Wayne Trace was close, but it was not at all. Both teams worked hard but only walked away with the trophy.

The home team opened the game with the first touchdown at 10 minutes and 34 seconds left in the first quarter. Tyler Showalter had an amazing game he scored all the touchdowns for Haviland team.

Paulding’s Preston Ingol is another to be watching for this season. He is a sophomore and he is fast! Twice he was handed the ball and he ran like there was no tomorrow, outpacing the Raider defense and scoring two touchdowns for the Panthers.

The first half clock finished with the Raiders in the lead 46-7, and with all the flags it was getting late.

At halftime the Lady Raiders 2014 Softball team were recognized for their success in the spring season. Many of the young ladies graduated last year but they came back for this particular homecoming celebration. Both Paulding and Wayne Trace Bands took to the field starting their fall marching routines.

With the Raiders in the lead so far, the second half began the with the new OHSAA rules going in to effect where the clock continues to run and is only stopped for timeouts and other few select situations. This allows the game to move faster.

After the game Raider Coach Bill Speller said, “We haven’t had great luck with out quarterbacks yet this year, but our line did a great job tonight.”
