Raiders Crash Aces Party

Two excellent head coaches, Bill Speller and Lucas Smith, took their teams head to head in football action on Friday, October 17 at the Aces field.

An uneventful first quarter passed with neither team getting to the endzone.
For the Raiders, the second quarter was all theirs. Touchdown after touchdown, racking up 32 points and sealing the win for the Paulding County team. Tyler Showalter, Daron Showalter, Jake Dingus, and Cole Shepherd all added points to the score board, making it 32-0 by half time.

Hicksville got on the board with Phil Karacson receiving a pass from Garrett Crall for a 29 yard touchdown with :17 left on the third quarter clock.

Wayne Trace’s Daron Showalter scored another touchdown on an 11 yard run and Jake Dingus ran the two point conversion successfully for the last points of the 4th quarter.
The game finished with the Raiders in the lead 40-6.

One area where the Aces excelled was interceptions with 3. Both teams lost the ball in fumbles.

Though Aces fans were upset with calls by the refs, Wayne Trace was penalized 82 yards versus only 10 for Hicksville.

Total offensive yards were topped by Wayne Trace at 481, and Hicksville at 273.
