The village of Payne will be open for trick or treating on Saturday, October 25th from 4:00-5:30 p.m. A parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. The Rock Youth Center will be serving sandwiches and coffee from 4:00-7:00 p.m.

Antwerp Chamber of Commerce annual Halloween Parade & Costume Judging

The annual Halloween Parade and Costume Judging sponsored by the Antwerp Chamber of Commerce will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 beginning with the parade at 3:15 p.m. and the costume judging at 3:30 p.m. The parade will line up at Vancrest on Archer Dr., go to Main St., south on Main St. to Daggett St., and conclude at the Antwerp Fire Hall. The costume judging will take place in the fire hall where the Fireman’s Auxiliary will also be serving up some great refreshments. The costumes will be judged in categories by age groups. Trick or Treat in the village will follow from 5:00-6:30 p.m. Come join the fun!

Paulding Lions Club annual Halloween Parade & Costume Contest

It is that time of the year and the Paulding Lions Club is organizing for the Annual Paulding Lions Club Halloween Parade and Costume Contest!!! It is planned for Saturday, October 25, 2014. We ask that the participants begin to assemble in front of the Paulding County Cameige Library between 1:00 and 1:15 p.m. where they will register for the costume contest and be assigned a number. The parade will start around 1:30 p.m. Contestants will march around the square and end up at the gazebo on the courthouse lawn where the costume judging will take place. If it rains the costume judging will take place across the street at the Community Center. Members of the Paulding High School Band Paulding High School will lead the parade and the Paulding High School Cheerleaders will judge the costume contest.

People of all ages are invited to be part of the Paulding Lions Club Halloween Parade and Costume Contest. All you need do is get in to costume and show up. The ten (10) costume categories are:

1. Infants (under 12 months),

2. Ages 1 to 2,

3. Clowns and Tramps,

4. Witches,

5. Things, Objects, and Plants,

6. Animals and Creatures,

7. Movie, TV, Fairy Tale Characters,

8. Vampires, Ghosts, and Goblins,

9. Ages 13 and Over,

10. Misc.

All Halloween Contest Participants will receive a reward for their involvement while the supplies last. Special prizes will be given to the grand prize winner and the first, second, and third place winners in each category. Pictures of the winners will be taken immediately after the costume judging.

The Halloween Parade is made possible by donations and assistance from local businesses. Past year contributors included: Paulding Lions Club, Paulding Eagles, Dr. Larry E. Tope, Paulding Fire Department, Paulding EMS Squad, Kiwanis Community Center, Dairy Queen, McDonalds, Hometown Pizza, Housa Pizza, Marcos Pizza, Red Angel Pizza, Paulding Subway, and Valero Pizza.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 25, 2014. Parade starts at 1:30 p.m. Come and join in the Halloween excitement!

New Haven Halloween Activities

Trunk or Treat on October 29th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. At the New Haven United Methodist Church. Brest Decorated Trunk contest, games, bonfire, food, pumpkin painting and fun for all ages.

Downtown New Haven Trick or Treat will take place October 31st from 5:00-7:00 p.m. (Broadway will be closed). All children must be accompanied by an adult. Halloween Carnival in Schnelker Park from 5:00-6:30 p.m. (if the weather is too bad, this event will be held at Park Hill gym). Official trick or treat hours are 6:00-8:00 p.m. On October 31st.

Central Lutheran School is sponsoring a Trunk or Treat on October 31st at the school from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

The T.A.G. Art Company presents The Trick or Treat Trail. It’s a “merry-not-scary” journey through the woods at 7629 Moeller Rd., New Haven. Meet magical, royal and super guests. Enjoy the extended trick or treat experience. Only from 7:00-9:00 p.m. On Halloween night. This event will support the New Haven Food Bank.

Paulding Church of the Nazarene hosts Trunk-O-Treats

Trunk-O-Treats – this free, open-to-the-public event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 29th at 6:00 p.m. At the Paulding Church of the Nazarene. There will be a parking lot full of decorated trunks stuffed with candy, free food in the Family Life Center, and fun activities for families and friends! Everyone is welcome!

Woodburn’s Trick or Treat Festivities

Trick or treat in Woodburn will be October 31, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. The Lions Club Halloween costume party will be at the Community Center at 7:00 p.m. Plan for donuts galore!
