Recently the Gold Wing Road Riders Association donated $350 to Christian Community Health Care in Grabill, IN. This is a free clinic to everyone in the community. They have served over 1,000 clients. “God has prepared us to do this work here and with the help of people like the Gold Wing Road Riders, we are able to make it happen,” stated CCHC executive director, Mark Schlatter.

The Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) is a world-wide group of people who ride Gold Wing Motorcycles. The Chapter D2 gathers monthly at a Fort Wayne location to go over activities, both in the past month and the future. Other activities include riding together to tour interesting places, meeting weekly at local restaurants, meeting in homes for meals and game nights, and, once per year, holding a chili cook-off to earn money to support chapter activities and make donations.

They donate to community non-profit organizations that serve the greater Fort Wayne area. This year’s donations will be given to Christian Community Health Care in Grabill, St. Martin’s Healthcare in Garrett, and the Ronald McDonald House at Parkview.

GWRRA was started in 1977; Chapter 02 has been active over 25 years. They welcome new members who own a Goldwing or other motorcycle. If you are interested or want more information, please contact Doug and Janice Ort, Chapter Directors, at 260-493-2255 or 260-466-7363.
