Mary Kathryn Rogers

Mary Kathryn Rogers, 94, died Monday December 8, 2014 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville.

She was born on June 16, 1920 in Mark Center, Ohio, the daughter of the late John and Myrtle (Balser) Schliesser.

Mary was a 1938 graduate of Hicksville High School. She worked as a librarian in the Antwerp school system and ushered at the Embassy Theatre in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and the Social Club, volunteered for Dr. Smith at CMH for 16 years, volunteered at the Bargain Box and was a member of the CMH Auxiliary.

Mary is survived by a son, Jim Rogers of Plains, Montana; two daughters, Judy (Bill) Johnson of Hicksville, Deb (Richard) Caciano of Paharump, Nevada; grandchildren, Tina Judy, Matthew Johnson, William, Jimmy, and Gene Harlin; great granddaughter, Kamryn Harlin; siblings, Paul Schliesser of Dayton, Ohio and Teresa Miller of Ft Wayne, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Harlin, a son Joe Rogers and brothers, Carroll and Basil Schliesser.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Hicksville, on December 20, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.
