PAULDING: James “Casey” M. Clark, age 81 died Sunday, December 23 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Ft. Wayne, IN.
He was born August 5, 1931 in Paulding County, Ohio, the son of Leo P. and Ethel (Powers) Clark. On April 14, 1956 he married Kathryn A. Buchman, who survives. He was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Parish, Paulding, and retired from GM Powertrain, Defiance in 1989. He was also a member of Paulding VFW Post #587 and Knights of Columbus St. Joseph Council #2584. He was a 1949 graduate of Paulding High School, a US Navy Veteran and a former custodian of First Christian Church, Paulding.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Clark, Paulding; three sons, Dave (Phyllis) Clark, Ocala, FL, Doug (Wendi) Clark, Bowling Green, OH, and Dennis (Tammy) Clark, Paulding; two daughters, Barb (Keith) Smith, Toledo, OH, and Kathy Clark, Cincinnati, OH; four sisters, Rita Weber, Defiance, Mary Hoelderle, Payne, Jean (Frank) Cashman and Joan Clark, both of Ft. Wayne; seven grandchildren: Adam (Brittany) Smith, Kiel Clark, Andy Smith, Megan Smith, Alex Smith, Sara Clark, and Rachel Clark; and three great grandchildren: Ashton, Olivia and Emmalina Smith.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Patrick and John Clark.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 10 AM Friday, December 28 at Divine Mercy Catholic Parish, Paulding. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by Paulding VFW Post #587.
Visitation will be 2 – 8 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:30 PM Thursday, December 27 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding.
