Rebecca Colleen Moore

WINCHESTER, KENTUCKY: Former Paulding, Ohio resident Rebecca Colleen Moore, age 87 died Thursday, January 3.

She was born in Paulding County, Ohio, the daughter of Benjamin Britton and Dorothy (Geyer) Moore. On January 29, 1953 she married Leland M. Carr who preceded her in death. She attended Mt. Union College and Bowling Green State University. She was formerly employed as an office worker at Grizzly Manufacturing Plant and was a clerk for the Paulding Utilities Office and the Paulding County Treasurer’s Office. She was a lifelong member and longtime organist of First Christian Church of Paulding.

She is survived by two children: Mary Sue (Terry) Dohoney, Bowling Green, OH, and David M. (Leigh) Carr, Lexington, KY; five grandchildren: Courtney, Tyler and Quinn Dohoney and Mary Clare and Britton Carr; a brother, John H. “Jack” (Marie) Moore, Paulding; a sister, Marilyn Beuhler, Tuscaloosa, AL; and many nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by two infant daughters, and a brother, Benjamin Henry Moore.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 8 at First Christian Church, Paulding. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3 – 8PM Monday, January 7 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.
