ANTWERP: Dorothy Coleen Jeffery, age 89 died Tuesday, January 15 in the CHP Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert, OH.
She was born February 28, 1923 in Antwerp, Ohio, the daughter of Carl F. and Norma C. (Filley) Smith. On February 2, 1941 she married Ray R. Jeffery. She was a member of Antwerp United Methodist Church, Antwerp, OH, and a member of the First Families of Paulding County and secretary/bookkeeper for L. Smith & Sons, Antwerp.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Jeffery, Antwerp; two sons, Carl (Susan) Jeffery, Van Wert, OH, and Jack (Sally) Jeffery, The Plains, Ohio; two daughters, Jan (Jeffrey) Boterf, Antwerp, OH, and Jill Jeffery, Ft. Wayne, IN; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Max “Bud” Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Saturday, January 19 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, with Rev. Mike Schneider officiating. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Paulding.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Saturday.
