Alexis Jones honored for 1000 point career goal
Antwerp girls basketball took on Hilltop at home Tuesday, February 12. Alexis was close to hitting the 1000 point mark in the last game but was for sure to achieve it this game. The Lady Archers struggled under the pressure to keep Jones with the ball and help her score. The Hilltop girls were doing their best to make sure she didn’t even get the ball.
With 3 seconds left in the third quarter Jones was fouled on a shot and she was put at the line for two free-throw attempts. She then made both shots and is only the fourteenth person from Antwerp to ever hit that career goal. In the video she is being honored by her coach and parents Don and Kathy

Hilltop finished the game taking home the win with a 52-37 victory
