Betty Louise (Grunden) Garver, age 81 died Tuesday, February 12 at the Gardens of Paulding, Paulding, Ohio.
She was born July 20, 1931 in Paulding co., the daughter of Walter and Bernice (Copsey) Casper. On July 21, 1947 she married Robert Ray Grunden who preceded her in death on June 9, 1995. On November 9, 1998 she married Richard O. Garver who survives. She was a member of Bryan Eagles #2233.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Garver, Bryan; two sons, Robert Grunden Jr., Antwerp, and Larry Shaffer, Millersburg, Ohio; four daughters, Betty Andrews, Oakwood, Darlene (Dan) Knapp, Latty, OH, Deborah Dougal, Paulding, and Kathy (Robert) Habern, Latty, OH; a sister, Marilyn (Dale) Taylor, Bryan; a brother, Robert (Lois) Casper, Napoleon; sixteen grandchildren; a step grandchild; twenty four great grand; two step great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and three step great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband; brothers, Rollan Myers and John Casper; sister, Shirley Blair; stepdaughter, Dawnette Aldred; step son, Ned Garver; two grandsons, Craig Allen Bauer and Kevin Shaffer; and great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Bauer.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Saturday, February 16 at Den Herder Funeral Home, with Rev. Ben Lowell officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Memory Gardens, Defiance
Visitation will be 2:30 – 8 PM Friday, February 15 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, and one hour prior to services on Saturday.
