Beulah Winchester
OAKWOOD – Beulah Winchester, 93, of Oakwood died at 6:56 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Defiance. She was born December 31, 1919 in Oakwood to the late Harry and Alma (Fitzwater) Grimes. On April 6, 1940 she married Leo E. Winchester who died December 28, 2011.
She is survived by a daughter: Helen Winchester of Oakwood; a daughter-in-law: Barbara Winchester of Oakwood; 2 grandchildren: Marlin and Paul Winchester; 8 great-grandchildren: 4 great-great-grandchildren: a brother: Charles (Louise) Grimes; and a sister: Vernell Baker, both of Oakwood. She was also preceded in death by a son: Donald Winchester; a great-grandchild: Amy Winchester; 3 brothers: Lester, Emery, and Kenneth Grimes; and 2 sisters: Doris Adams, and Lila Howell.
Beulah was a homemaker and a member of Grace Bible Church in Defiance.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood with Dr. John McKay officiating. Burial will follow in Sherman Cemetery, Oakwood. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday all at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice or to the Gideons.
