Woodburn – June M. James, 87, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday, May 11, 2013 with her loving daughters at her side. Born in Assumption, Ill. she was the daughter of the late David and Ola (Davis) Cotner. She was a member of Woodburn Missionary Church and a faithful prayer warrior. The Hope Center was blessed with the dozens baby quilts she so enjoyed making for them. She had worked for the old Woodburn telephone company and retired in 2006 from the staff of the Woodburn Missionary Church after 20 years of service.
She is survived by her daughters: Joyce James of Woodburn and Barbara (Kenneth) Knuth of Columbia City; grandsons: Daniel (Jennifer) Knuth of Columbia City and Thomas (Cari) Knuth of Ft. Wayne; Great Grandchildren: Mason, Emerson and Gilliana Knuth; sister-in-law: Imogene Cotner and a host of nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Albert James in 1981 and siblings, Donald, Hershel and Aldyth Cotner.
Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Woodburn Missionary Church, 5108 Bull Rapids Rd., Woodburn, IN with calling one hour prior. Pastor Joel DeSelm officiating. Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the church. Burial is in the Scipio cemetery.
