Sylvia K. Guyton, 77

Melrose – Sylvia K. Guyton, 77, of Melrose died 3:40 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at her residence. She was born April 2, 1936 in Chicago, IL., to the late Joseph and Katherine (Kaszuba) Bakowski. Her first husband: Monte Landers is deceased. On November 22, 1969, she married Ray “Tex” Guyton who survives in Melrose.

Sylvia is survived by a son: Duane (Connie) Landers of Melrose; a daughter-in-law: Sonja Landers of Paulding; two sisters: Doris (Harry) Sarbiewski of Chicago, IL., and Henrietta (Bud) Phillips of Chattanooga, TN.; five grandchildren: Angie (Marcos) Revilla of Toledo, Crystal (Jim) Parker of New Haven, IN., Jason (Jayme) Landers of Antwerp, Shaunna Gloor of Sandusky, and Jacob Landers of Sandusky; and two great-grandsons: Jayvin and Jagger Landers of Antwerp. She was preceded in death by her son: Terrill Landers; two sisters: Beatrice Bialass and Lillian (Chuck) Pickelhaupt; and a brother: Joseph Bakowski.

Sylvia was a homemaker. She was a life member of the Paulding Eagles #2405, the Motor Guzzi Owners Association and the AMA. She was a past member of Street Steeds Motor Cycle Club of Paulding.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood with Pastor Terry Porter officiating. Burial will follow in Little Auglaize Cemetery, Melrose. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Community Health Professionals or to Defiance Inpatient Hospice.
