PAYNE: 
died Wednesday, May 15 at the Gardens of Paulding, Paulding, Ohio.
He was born in Port Huron, Michigan on November 9, 1916 the son of Andrew and Sophia (Peto) Papp. On June 30, 1951 he married Loraine M. Von Behren, who survives. He was a WWII Army Air Corp veteran. He retired in 1976 from International Harvester of Ft. Wayne after 30 years. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #587 and American Legion Post #297.
He is survived by his wife, Loraine Papp, Payne; two sons, Charles S. (Marjorie) Papp, Van Wert, and LaRue Papp, Indianapolis; a daughter, Karyl (Gene) Leser, Fishers, IN; a sister, Martha Straka, Defiance; three grandchildren, Stephen C. Papp, Nicholas and Nathaniel Leser; and a step grandson, Chris Sauer.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Julius and John Papp; and three sisters, Ida Overmeyer, Margaret Zavasky, and Helen Isaacs.
Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM Saturday May 18 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding.
A graveside memorial service will be conducted 11AM Saturday, May 25 in Wiltsie Cemetery, Payne.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Paulding EMS or Alzheimer’s Association Northwest Ohio Chapter.
