HAVILAND: Wilma Jean Hartwig, age 78, died Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
She was born in Blue Creek Township, Paulding County, Ohio, on July 17, 1935 the daughter of Harold A. and Ilo A. (Smith) McAdams. On November 28, 1953 she married Cletus Ray Hartwig, who survives. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Briceton, and was previously employed by Paulding County Title office and the Paulding County Health Department retiring in 1989.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Hartwig, Haviland; three daughters, Debra (Dr. Larry) Tope and Karen (Lee) Bakle, both of Paulding; and Julie (Spencer) Beckman, Haviland; nine grandchildren: Ashley Tope, Kayla (Joel) Miller, Remy Tope, Dylan Flint, Brett Beckman, Rachael Fisher, Stacy Flint, and Jadyn Flint; and a great granddaughter, Olivia Miller.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Harry E. McAdams.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Tuesday, July 23 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Briceton, with Rev. Karen Stetins officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Creek Cemetery, Haviland.
Visitation will be 2 – 8PM Monday, July 22 at Den Herder Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.
