Some members of the Woodburn High Alumni from the years 1951 – 1955
Members of the Woodburn High School Alumni returned to Woodburn for the annual Day In The Park on July 20, 2013, and gathered in the Community Center. There was much chatter and laughter as old class members reminisced about their High School days and also caught up on what is going on with them at the present time.
Mary (Lindemuth) Lake from the class of 1937 took the honors for being the oldest alumni member in attendance. Edna (Messman) Roemke is our oldest living alumni member. The class of 1962 (the last class to attend Woodburn High School) had the most people attending. The classes of 1954 and 1956 had the highest percentage of their members attending.
Next year (2014) Woodburn High School Alumni will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the first graduating class. We are planning to have a Dinner on Friday evening, July 18, 2014. Please mark your calendars now and plan to attend and enjoy the evening.
On Monday, August 26, at 10:00 a.m., the WHS Alumni will meet at the Woodburn Library to wrap up and complete this year’s event along with our first planning meeting for next year.
