CECIL: William Weippert Sr. age 80 died Friday, July 26, 2013.
He was born to Glenn and Ethel (Hasch) Weippert February 15, 1933. He married the love of his life, Audrey Glenn on January 14, 1956. He was an avid churchgoer. His passion in life was farming. From the time he was 8 years old he was farming and has been ever since. He never knew a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He loved being with family as much as possible and had many friends.
In the winter months he enjoyed time in Palmetto, Florida, playing cards and eating out with family and friends. He was an expert mechanic and could fix anything. He will be deeply missed by his family.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Weippert; 2 Sons: Dr. William (Jane) Weippert, Rick (Pam) Weippert; 3 Daughters: Lori (Rick) Dietrich, Lisa (Jim) Phlipot, and Jill (Sam) Hatcher: all of Rural Cecil, Ohio; 10 Grandchildren: Adam Dietrich, Dr. John (Jana) Weippert, Jarrod (Sara) Phlipot, Summer Dietrich and Shade Haskins, Jesse Phlipot, Jordan Phlipot, Taylor Hatcher, Audra Phlipot, Spencer Hatcher and Nicholas Hatcher; Great Grandson Weippert to come due in November; 3 Step Grandchildren: Angie (Abe) Wyse, Laura Beth (Matt) Lintz,and Nicole (Brad) Weirauch; 7 Step Great Children: Mason and Brayden Weirauch, Mila Wyse, Liam Lintz, Twins; Taylor and Allie, Madison ; and a sister, Barbara (Wayne) Frankart, New Haven, IN.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved dog and companion of 16 years, “Cookie”.
Funeral services will be conducted 10 AM Tuesday, July 30 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Paulding, with Rev. Karen Stetins officiating. Burial will be follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Paulding.
Visitation will be 2:30 – 8PM Monday, July 29 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, and one hour prior to services at the church.
Donations may be made to Paulding Humane Society; Paulding County Sharing and Sharing Food Pantry; or St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Paulding.
