James W. Norden, 76, of Woodburn died Thursday, October 3, 2013, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. The Woodburn native was the son of the late William and Edna Norden. He served his country in the Indiana National Guard, and retired in 2012 after 38 years as the owner of Woodburn Welding. He enjoyed helping his clients 7 days a week! He was a member of the Woodburn City Council for over 25 years.
Jim is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy; son, Wade Norden of Fort Wayne; siblings: Michael Norden, Marilyn (Ervin) Knoblauch both of Woodburn, Dennis (Mary) Norden of Mechanicsburg, OH, Roger (Candy) Norden of Carefree, AZ;
Funeral service is 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 7, 2013, at Christ Lutheran Church, 4412 Park St., Woodburn, IN with calling one hour prior to service. The Rev. Timothy Edwards officiating. Calling is also 1-5 P.M. Sunday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Woodburn. Preferred memorials to Woodburn Lutheran School.
