CECIL:
Clair Leroy Paxton, age 86 died Saturday, November 2 at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, Defiance, Ohio.
He was born December 18, 1926 in Paulding County, Ohio the son of Ervin L. and Jeanette A. (Brown) Paxton. On January 25, 1959 he married Rosemarie Odaffer, who survives. He was a self employed Grain/Dairy Farmer and a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was previously the floor manager for the former Wood-U- Skating Rink, Oakwood, Ohio and a Square Dance Caller.
He is survived by his wife. Rosemarie Paxton, Cecil; a son, Ron (Myrna) Paxton, Cecil; brother, Dale Paxton, Bryan; 3 sisters, Reba Jean (Edward) Luderman, Cecil, Karen (Robert) Baughman, Paulding, and Betty (Richard) Baker, Sherwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, David Alan Paxton, and a sister, Paula Paxton.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Wednesday, November 6 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Paulding with military graveside rites accorded by VFW Post #587.
Visitation will be 2 – 8PM Tuesday, November 5 and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at Den Herder Funeral Home.
