The Wayne Trace Raiders travelled to take on the Warriors at the Woodlan gymnasium outside of Woodburn on Friday, December 27, 2013.
The Raiders won the JV game by a 16 point margin with a 47-31 victory over the home team.
The second game started with Wayne Trace getting the jump ball and Corbin Linder scoring the first basket and an incredible 6 3-point baskets. The Woodlan boys early in the first let the game a little out of hand but soon caught back up and made impressive scoring leap, taking the first quarter 16-11.
The second quarter was nearly a draw with the Raiders taking only a 1 point advantage and the half was in the Warrior favor at 32-28.
In the second half of the game the Warriors lost everything they gained from the first. The home boys’ scoring was lacking and the defense couldn’t stop the Raiders anywhere on the court, especially the fourth quarter. Top scorer of the game went to Woodlan’s Jaylin Bennett, but it wasn’t enough to keep Wayne Trace from taking the win.
