Holgate travelled to the Welch Stadium near Haviland on Thursday, January 9. The Raiders and the Tigers both struggled early in the basketball game with a slow start as the ball didn’t want to dive through the hoop. Later in the first quarter Wayne Trace started moving the ball more and the points started adding up for the boys. In the first quarter Wayne Trace completely dominated the court a then finishing the half with a 33-21 lead.
The third was the shining quarter for Holgate, outscoring the home team. Wayne Trace had their highest scoring quarter in the fourth with 18 points and the Raiders finished the game with a win at 64-47.
