The boys basketball game at New Haven on Friday, January 17 got off to a late start against Carroll. This hotly contested first half had few points to show for it when both teams where playing defense. The first half ended with a score of only 19-12 with New Haven in the lead.
The second half of the game changed quite a bit with much more scoring taking place. Battling for top place, Carroll took the lead in the middle of the third quarter taking the ball several times from the New Haven opponents. The home team realized they needed to do something and took the score back. The only quarter where the Chargers outscored the home team was the fourth, but the points accumulated in previous quarters, putting the Bulldogs on top, winning 60-53.
