Students from Oakwood Elementary, Paulding Elementary, and Paulding Middle School competed in the district level of the National Geographic Bee Finals on January 21, 2014. Courtney Luderman will advance to the next level of the competition, a written examination. She will move one step closer to a $50,000.00 scholarship, plus a trip to the Galapagos Islands. Courtney is the daughter of Randy and Michelle Luderman, and a 7th grader at Paulding Middle School. Brendan Hornish, a 5th grader attending Oakwood Elementary School, was the district runner-up.
