Green Meadows Conference Rivals Tinora and Wayne Trace fought it over girls basketball at the Palace on Thursday, January 30. The home JV team lost the first game 30-15.
The varsity game started with Wayne Trace scoring the first basket. The Rams retaliated with a basket of their own. The first half ended with the Raiders overshadowing Tinora 20-16.
Both teams had good third quarter scores. The fourth quarter is where the Lady Raiders stretched their abilities and their score, in comparison to the guest team who had their least increase in the game. Mohr, Wilcox and Feasby all had 3-point baskets which was also the difference of scores by the end.

UPDATE: At the game against Miller City, Wayne Trace’s Lauren Speice set a new school record with 21 rebounds in the victory. Speice broke the old record of 20, which she set on 1/3/14 against Fairview.
