Rivals Leo and Woodlan Girls Basketball met at the Warrior home court on Thursday, January 30. The home team got off to a fantastic start and the game looked like Woodlan had the Lions in a trap with all the points Gerbers was putting through the hoop. The second quarter was reversed but only by a four point difference, leaving Woodlan up at the half 22-16.
The third quarter both teams added 10 points to their scores. Fourth Quarter was the deal breaker for the Woodlan girls. The ball started was being handled poorly with several turnovers benefiting Leo. The momentum swung and the Lady Lions took the game 45-41.
