Paulding and Van Buren met for the sectional championship game at Defiance on Friday, February 28. It wasn’t long before the Panther boys team was driving the ball all over the court.
The Paulding boys started strong and never stopped until the buzzer rang in the fourth. As I watched the first quarter, I was amazed that the buzzer only stopped one or two times, making the game fly. Kyle Kauser really got the game off to a good start.
The second quarter was just as good if not better for the Panthers. Just a little over a minute into the period Paulding had the lead 24-10.
The final score for this championship game was 73-40. Paulding is now 17-6.
Paulding will take on Liberty Center at Bowling Green in the first round of Districts.
