The Western Buckeye ESC Governing Board held its regular monthly Board meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Paulding ESC office. Board President Mr. Ron Treece welcomed Board members and school personnel to the meeting.
Treasurer Kim Jones and Assistant Treasurer Linda Clark reviewed the current financial reports, investments and the monthly expenditures with the Board.
Superintendent Brian Gerber updated the Board on Legislative Issues, Personnel items, and ESC activities.
Consent Items – WBESC:
A. Motion to accept the retirement resignation of Christine Feichter, effective June 27, 2014.
B. Motion to employ Christine Feichter for the position of Director of Instruction/Grant Coordinator with a 1 year part-time administrative contract for the 2014-2015 school year effective September 1, 2014. Salary as per salary schedule + 3%.

F. Motion to establish the week of May 5-9, 2014 as Staff Appreciation Week in order to honor the staff of Western Buckeye ESC.
G. Motion to approve the Thomas Edison Early Childhood 2014-2015 calendar as presented.
The Board meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m. with no additional Board action. The next regular Governing Board meeting of the Western Buckeye Educational Service Center will be on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Van Wert ESC office.
