Jay County High School recently joined the ACAC conference and this was the first game competing against Woodlan. The game was delayed due to the distance the guest team travelled on Friday, May 2, 2013.
Woodlan’s Shawn Kitzmiller scored in the first inning after hitting the ball to centerfield and getting a double. Bases were loaded in the second with only one out for Jay County. The guest team was not able to add any points to the board with one strikeout and one pop fly to 2nd. Woodlan ended up scoring three more in the fifth inning.
The game finished 4-0 with the game being called due to darkness in the sixth inning.
