Norman H. Eschbach, 97 of Payne, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
Norm was born in Paulding on Jan. 14, 1917, a son of the late Agnes (Rohlman) and Peter Eschbach.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy in WW II from 1942 to 945. Norm worked at Rea Magnet Wire and was a member of the Eagles & Payne American Legion.
On Nov. 20, 1942 Norm married Beulah Zartman, who passed away April 2, 2010.
Norm will be sadly missed by his children, Bill (Mary Teen) of Louisville, KY, Ruth Eschbach & Judy (Ray) Lyons of Payne & Bob (Kim) of Fort Wayne.
10 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were his siblings, Lucille Fatchett, Sally Greely, Dolores Brown, Ray, Alvin & Harold; a grandchild and a great grandchild.
Norm’s Funeral mass is Wednesday, May 28th, 10 am Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Payne.
Recitation of the rosary is Tuesday, 4 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, Payne, with viewing 4:30 to 8 pm and Wednesday, 9-9:30 am.
He will be laid to rest at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, with military honors.
In lieu of flowers his family requests memorials for Masses; Community Health Professionals or Bishop Dwenger High School.
