These are the 2014 Canal Days Schedule of Events which will take place June 3-7, 2014. This year’s theme: is “Family & Friends”.
New Haven Canal Days is in picturesque downtown New Haven on Broadway and in beautiful Schnelker Park. Burton Brothers will be in town for the midway rides and there is a variety of entertainment acts, vendors, and plenty of “fair food” to go around!
Tuesday, June 3rd:
• National Guard invades Schnelker Park, 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, June 4th:
• Farm Market vendors, 4:00–7:00 p.m. in Schnelker Park
• 7:00–9:00 p.m. New Haven’s Got Talent (Main stage)
• 7:00–9:00 p.m. Bulldog Beauty Pageant (Main stage)
Thursday, June 5th:
• 5:00–6:00 p.m. Christina Dyson Dancers (Main stage)
• 7:00–9:00 p.m. The Hit Men (Main stage)
Friday, June 6th:
• Senior Picnic at 11:30 a.m. at Schnelker Pavilion
• 5:00–9:00 p.m. Classic Car Cruise-In at New Haven High School, 1300 Green Rd, NH
• 6:00–7:00 p.m. Fort Wayne Taiko drummers (Gazebo stage)
• 7:00–10:00 p.m. Chris Worth & Company (Main stage)
• Family movie night under the stars; immediately following Chris Worth
Saturday, June 7th – ‘Faith & Family’ Night:
• 7:30 a.m. Canal Days 5K (at Havenhurst Park)
• 11:00 a.m. The Annual Canal Days Festival Parade
• 11:00 a.m. Corn Hole Tournament
• 12:00–3:00 p.m. Kids Day in Schnelker Park pavilion
• 1:00–2:00 p.m. Alumni Band & Parade Awards
• Marks Arc in Schnelker Park
• 3:30-6:30 p.m. Joe Justice (Gazebo stage)
• 7:30 p.m. Grammy & Dove Award nominated Rhett Walker Band
***All events are free of charge to attend and open to the community. We hope to see you there!
***Overflow parking for all major events will be available at New Haven High School, 1300 Green Street, New Haven, Indiana. Park in the main student parking lot and take the pedestrian tunnel at the back of the lot that goes underneath US 930. This tunnel will take you directly to Schnelker Park.
***All Main Stage and Gazebo Stage events will take place in Schnelker Park. Schnelker Park is located at 956 Park Avenue, New Haven, Indiana. Limited parking is available in the Park Hill Center parking lot, the New Haven Middle School parking lot.
Midway Hours:
• June 3–6 from 5:00–11:00 p.m.
• June 7th from 12:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
