FORT WAYNE:
Katherine L. Kemerley, age 95 died Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Bethlehem Woods, Ft. Wayne, IN.
She was born in Payne, Ohio, on August 29, 1918 the daughter of John and Versa (Snyder) Zartman. On March 8, 1936 she married Arthur A. Kemerley who preceded her in death on November 29, 1983. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Ft. Wayne, and the American Legion #296 Auxiliary. She retired in 1970 from Montgomery Ward Company and was previously employed by Parnell Park Nursing Home.
Katherine is survived by two sons, Harold (Lois) Kemerley, and Ronald (Marilyn) Kemerley, both of Ft. Wayne; a daughter Linda (James) Worman, North Ft. Myers, FL; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by a son, Richard; a daughter, Peggy; two brothers, Donald and Robert Zartman; and a sister, Mildred Johnson.
Funeral services will be conducted 1PM Saturday July 5 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, OH. Burial will follow in Lehman Cemetery, Payne, OH.
Visitation will be 11 AM until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to American Diabetes Foundation or American Cancer Society of Allen County.
