PAYNE:
Jeffrey Louis Schaefer, 70, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center.
Jeff was born in Fort Wayne on Dec. 10, 1943 a son of Roy & the late Dortha (Bonner) Schaefer.
Jeff worked at Defiance Precision Products for for 43 years. He was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Parish; Knights of Columbus. He loved model trains and riding historic steam engines and playing his harmonica.
He will be sadly missed by his siblings, Garnett (Leo) Beagle of Payne, Mary K. (Dean) Hess of Green Valley, AZ, Jeannine Hagan of Austin, TX; John (Mary) & Kim, both of New Haven, IN and a host of nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brother Paul.
Visitation is Sunday, 2- 4:30 pm, with the rosary recited at 4:30 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, Payne, where viewing is also Monday, 9 – 9:30 am.
His funeral mass is Monday, 10 am, Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Payne.
