Vicky Hull, a nineteen-year employee of the Paulding County Carnegie Library, will be retiring on August 1st.
“I enjoy working with the public and interacting with patrons each day,” shared Hull. “But, when I realized I could retire, I made the difficult decision to do so at this time. My retirement will allow me to spend more time with my family. Life is just too short.”
Vicky was born in Fremont, Ohio but has lived in Paulding County since the mid-1960s. She graduated from Paulding High School in 1972. She is married to Phillip Hull and has five children and seven grandchildren. She entered into employment with the library in September 1995 where she has held the positions of Library Clerk, Head of Adult Services and Circulation, and Assistant Director. Vicky was instrumental in planning, organizing and administrating the library’s speaker program which has included numerous authors, special guests, and two visits by William Meyer, one of the last known Holocaust survivors in Indiana.
“I will miss Vicky tremendously,” stated Susan Pieper, Library Director. “Vicky has been an invaluable employee and dear friend over the years and I wish her all the best.”
Stop by the main historic library in Paulding and bid Vicky a happy retirement during a reception on Friday, August 1st from noon until 3:00 p.m. on the main floor of the historic Carnegie library in Paulding.
