The Annual Flat Rock Creek Festival this year begins on Friday, September 19, taking place at the Paulding County Fairgrounds. Every year people from the entire West Bend News readership area come together to enjoy the harvest and fun of old fashioned country style living.
From broom making to apple cider pressing, there is something for everyone to enjoy!
These are the schedule of events for the 2014 Flat Rock Creek Fall Festival for September 19, 20, 21.
Friday (festival activities continue all day):
7:00-11:00 a.m. – Pancake & Sausage Breakfast by the Paulding County Firefighters Association
9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. – Quilt Show located in the Youth Leadership Building and John Paulding Historical Society
10:00 a.m. – Opening ceremonies (flag raising)
10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. – Spittn’ Image, Restoration & various local acts; Calliope Music Box
12:00-2:00 p.m. – Book signing by Jane Nice, author of Married To Millie: The Humble Life Of Herb Monroe located at senior center tent
6:00 p.m. – Division II Tractor Pull
8:30-10:30 p.m. – The Bulldogs (bring your chairs)
Saturday:
7:00-11:00 a.m. – Pancake & Sausage Breakfast by the Paulding County Firefighters Association
9:00 a.m. – Gates open to the public, activities continue all day
9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. – Wesley Linkenkugal Band (the finest dulcimer entertainment in the Midwest); Quilt Show located in the Youth Leadership Building and John Paulding Historical Society
10:00 a.m. – Antique Tractor Pull (weigh-in at 8:00 a.m.) followed by Farm Stock Pull
10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. – Spittin’ Image, Restoration and various local acts
1:00-3:00 p.m. & 6:00-8:00 p.m. – Book signing by Jane Nice, author of Married to Millie: The Humble Life Of Herb Monroe, located at Senior Center tent
6:00 p.m. – Bluegrass Opry with the Scott Brothers
8:00 p.m. – Pete Schlegel Band, bring your lawn chairs

12:00 p.m. – Flat Rock Creek presents World Championship 3300 lb Lightweight Horsepull Spectacular (heavyweight follows; some of the top draft horses in the world will appear; Michigan Dynamometer Association’s largest purse)
1:00-5:00 p.m. – The Stockdale Family Band featuring the three-time Ohio Fiddling Champion
John Paulding Historical Society Museum will be open all three days of the festival.
Festival opens Friday at 10:00 a.m.; Saturday at 9:00 a.m.; Sunday at 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
