What began as a hobby and pursuit of a healthier lifestyle has now become the full time livelihood of a young Antwerp, Ohio family.
Jordan and Anne (Ramsier) Cline graduated from Antwerp as high school sweethearts in 2004 and became husband and wife in 2006. They began their family in 2009 and now have three children, Wyatt(5), Eliza(2), and Adelle(10 months).
Anne grew up as part of a farm family, and Jordan has always been an avid outdoorsman. They are both enthusiasts of healthy living. In June of 2014, the couple decided to integrate those interests and experiences and begin Earnest Acres, a pasture-based, nature-inspired, “beyond organic” farm.
Earnest Acres is currently raising pastured chickens, turkeys, hogs, and free-range eggs. These animals have never received antibiotics or hormones and have spent their lives in the fresh air and sunshine. The Cline’s believe animals should be raised in the environments that God intended for them. This not only creates a healthier animal, but a healthier consumer as well!
Chickens from the farm are available now and can be purchased whole or cut up, and eggs will be available soon. Hogs will be available mid-November and can be purchased as whole or half. Orders are being taken for fresh, never frozen, turkeys. These birds will go straight from the pasture to the Thanksgiving table!
The Cline’s plan to diversify their farm by adding grass-fed beef and local honey within a year.
