The 6th annual Payne Fall Festival is set to take place this weekend at the Community Park in Payne, Saturday and Sunday, October 11-12, 2014.
Saturdays activities will last from 9:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. Plan to begin the morning with the grand parade through downtown at 10: 00 a.m., followed by the opening ceremonies with a flag raising and veteran recognition ceremony. Veterans to be recognized are Tony Adamski, Bob Baumle, Bud King and Bob Wannemacher. The remainder of the day will include flag football, Chili cook off, music by Corduroy Road and Rewind, a kiddie tractor pull and Firemen’s raffle.
Sunday begins bright and early with a non-denominational church service complete with a special children’s service. Music with the Branham family will serenade the crowd to the lunch hour. Don’t miss the Classic Car Show and Motorcycle Show at 1:00 p.m., followed by The Bottom Of The Barrel Boys. From 12:00-4:00 p.m. a Quilt Show will be open at Vancrest of Payne for all to enjoy.
There will be a wide variety of food to enjoy at the Fall Fest with the Boy Scout cobbler, Puckerbrush pulled pork and the Country Chef by Tony Watson. There will also be a pancake/sausage breakfast at the St. Paul UMC on Saturday, 7:30-11:00 a.m.
