A great hometown annual event.
Sounds of the season began in Paulding this weekend with the John Paulding Historical Society’s Festival of Trees. The Poor Bottom Boys entertained the visitors with easy listening bluegrass music on Friday night, as they milled about the museum enjoying holiday lights and decorations.
The jingle of coins hitting the bottom of trees’ jars for the voting of the Festival’s favorite tree could be heard intermittently with the music and conversations. Counters were filled with silent auction items from homemade scarves to baskets of wine. The Festival continued through Sunday afternoon. The museum has kicked off the season in proper holiday fashion.
