Joseph E. Thompson, 66, of Antwerp, passed away at home on Thursday, November 27, 2014.
Joe was born in Fort Wayne on July 31, 1948, a son of the late Jane (McDonald) and Fred “Bud” Thompson.
He worked at Dietrich Industries, but Joe’s favorite past times were model locomotives & helicopters and fishing.
On Oct. 18, 1969 he married Vicki Spangler.
Joe will be sadly missed by his wife, Vicki; children, Tonya Walker of Fort Wayne, Shelly Walker of Antwerp & Tammie (Kenny) Bassett of Hicksville; siblings, Dorothy (Robert) Brickel of Hicksville, Karen (Odest) Gresham of Leo, IN & Jim of Fort Wayne; 4 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren.
His funeral service is at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp on Tuesday, Dec. 2nd, 11 am, with viewing one hour prior.
Viewing is also Monday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery.
