Raiders Crash Warriors in Last 2014 Game

SinnDunk1Wayne Trace hosted the Warriors for the annual New Year’s Boys Basketball game at the Palace on Tuesday, December 30. The Warriors had previously came from playing the Fremont last week before Christmas while the Raiders came in with a 6-0 record with the outstanding win against Miller City. Last year the annual match took place at Woodlan with the guests winning by 10 points.

The game began with the Warriors taking an early rise and looking to be a tough rival, quickly gathering a 6-1 lead. Raiders are known for pulling out of deficits and swiftly at that. Full court press by the entire team led Wayne Trace to overtake the opposing team.

Both the first and second quarters and The Raiders easily doubling Woodlan in points. By half time the score was 49-21. Long arms and high jumps created many turnovers for the Warriors.

In the third quarter the ball was being passed around the court and the Raider offense was setting the shot up. Luke Miller looked to be taking a shot became a coordinated pass of perfect timing to David Sinn for the Alley-Oop dunk of the year. I’m certain this had been practiced by these boys, being executed so precisely. See the video in full HD!

Both the third and fourth quarters Woodlan outscored the Raiders but it was not enough for the first half shortfall.
Wayne Trace leading so much the fourth quarter was very quick running the clock down.
