The Eagle’s Lodge hosted a full house at the Annual Paulding Chamber Banquet on February 17 and everyone enjoyed a spectacular meal provided by Kim’s Classic Catering.
After a few words by the new Chamber Director, Peggy Emerson, the financial reports were read and the ambitions plans for the future were laid out, mentioning both the Flat Rock Creek Festival and the concert taking place at the new Herb Monroe Park.
Awards were presented by Paulding County Hospital’s Melanie Rittenour.
The winners for the night’s awards were: Milestone/Anniversary Archbold Equipment – 100 years; Golden Shovel Dairy Queen with the new remodeling taking place; Business of the Year was Paulding Putnam Electric Coop with Operation Roundup putting the members donations back into the community; Business Person of the Year was Erika Willitzer who has served her county in various aspects from the Kiwanis to the Chamber and many more organizations;
Volunteer of the Year had three nominations: Vicki Kadesch, Donna Pieper, and Guy Dasher. The award went to Guy for all of his work around the area and at the Flat Rock Festival. “He’s the guy that tells you were you can go!” it was stated on the announcement. Honorable Mentions went to Vicki Kadesch and Donna Pieper
