Subject: Paulding County Flooding
The Paulding County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is working with county, township and village officials, and the National Weather Service to manage the rising water situation.
Situation overview
State, County and Township roads have been impacted.
COUNTY ROAD CLOSURES:
C-1 between 48/SR 500
C-48 between 1/17
C-60 between 118/177
C-177 between 60/48 and
C-72 between SR 49/33
C-263 between 205/207
COUNTY ROADS with HIGH WATER:
C-173 south of 24
C-24 west of SR 637
C-24 east of 131
C-124 north of 48
C-1 between SR 500/60
C-123 between 60/82
C-12 west of SR 637
T-81 at 98 (3 signs)
C-177 at 82
STATE ROUTE CLOSURES:
SR 500 from the Indiana State line to SR 111
SR 66 between SR 613 and TR 104
SR 613 between SR 637 and TR 131
TOWNSHIP road CLOSURES have not been reported to the Engineer, EMA or Sheriff’s Office
Sand bags are being distributed at the Paulding County Engineer’s Office at no charge Limit 50 filled bags per household
Must provide proof of residency
No homes have been impacted or evacuated
There have been no water rescues
According to the National Weather Service
Once crest occurs, water will remain for a longer than normal amount of time due to extreme ground
saturation
Our area has received 600% more rainfall than normal over the last 14 days
Additional rainfall of less than 1″ is expected
Due to standing water, mosquito issues will be on the rise
