PAYNE:
Leroy A. “Bud” King, age 88 died Thursday, September 17, 2015.
He was born October 1, 1926 in Allen County, Indiana, the son of the late Raymond E. and Edith M. (Pattenbrock) King. In 1974 he retired from the US Army serving in WWII, Korea and Vietnam.
He is survived by three children: Frank (Roxane) King, Payne, Cynthia Patterson, Hawaii, Ted (Cindy) King, Anaheim, CA; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
He is also preceded in death by a brother, Robert King, and sisters, Ruth Batt and Delores Baumle.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Saturday, September 26 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. Burial will be at a later date in Lehman Cemetery, Payne.
Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM Friday, September 25 at Den Herder Funeral Home. There will also be visitation from 10 AM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to Wounded Warrior Project.
