Woodlan reporter Katilyn Burns:
Halloween is always a fun and scary endeavor. Witches and ghouls roam the streets asking for sweets. You might even spot a zombie or two shuffling down the sidewalk. Do you think your monster getup is the most terrifying? Or do you believe that your princess ensemble is the most beautiful? On October 31, the Woodburn Community Center is hosting a Halloween Party, where you can see how well your costume ranks among the rest of us! It begins at 7 p.m., and we have many categories for our contestants. Each age group will have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner. The prizes are $5 for first, $3 for second, and $2 for third place. All age groups are eligible for the Best of Class categories, which include: Halloween Character, Best Group (2 or more), and the Most Original; the winner of a Best of Class category will receive $10. Even if you don’t win a prize, we will have free cider, donuts, and candy waiting just for you. Come on down and join in the fun!
