As preparation for the upcoming Veterans’ Day, the children of Divine Mercy Catholic School are interviewing Veterans of the area. Mr. Robert Franklin of Payne came to visit with the First and Second Grade. He told of his adventures during World War II aboard the USS Yorktown. Mr. Franklin was a gunner in the US Navy stationed in Africa. On November 11, 2015, we will honor all veterans at an 11:00 a.m. Mass, followed by a special lunch and presentation. The interviews will be shared at that time also.
