The Larry Hormann Family were congratulated for their contribution to Antwerp. Larry Hormann was a big supporter of the Antwerp Schools sports programs throughout his life, and the family decided to have the memorials be donated to the school athletics.
The Antwerp School had a fun night with the parents, teams and families of winter sports on Friday, November 20. The first part of the night was when fans could purchase shirts and have the teams and players autograph the articles.
While the signing was going on, the girls basketball team was scrimmaging against itself for a half hour. Following this, the boys teams played against each other.
The evening wasn’t complete with just the signings and the games. They continued on presenting the new scorers table with a video screen and dedicated it to the school. Donations for purchase of the new table were made by the Antwerp Athletic Boosters, Parkview Sports Medicine and the Larry Hormann family. Everyone was presented pictures of the sports teams and thanked for making this possible with a presentation by coach TJ Hammer.
