Deric Laurent signed letter of intent for Indiana Wesleyan University, for Track and Cross Country. Deric plans on studying Business Management with the hope of running a physical therapy clinic with his brother. Deric holds the school record for the 5,000 with a time of 15:34, is 1st team all Northeast 8, 1st Team all State, 4A runner IATCCC, and placed 35th at this years state cross county meet. Deric helped lead the cross country team to both Sectional and Regional Championships this year. He was named the teams most valuable runner for the last 3 seasons. Deric’s current class rank is 22nd.
