Melissa S. Pierce, 57, passed away on January 3, 2016 at Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance Ohio. She was born on July 3, 1958 in Elwood, Indiana to Benedict and Myrna (DeLong) Fettig. She married Daniel L. Pierce on June 17, 2000. Melissa was a Photographic Supervisor for Olan Mills. Survivors include her husband Daniel of Antwerp, a daughter Savanna Fettig of Antwerp; a son Tim Pierce of Ohio; her mother Myrna Fettig of Auburn; two sisters Maureen Briones of South Bend and Laura Terlosky of Butler; four brothers Mark Fettig of Auburn, Matthew Fettig of Kokomo, Keith Fettig of Sacremento CA, and Jon Fettig of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her father and a daughter Joslynn Fettig. Celebration of Life Service will be held at Riverside Christian Church, Antwerp Ohio on January 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM with a gathering of friends and family beginning at noon, Pastor Max Begley officiating.
