The Lady Warriors hosted Fremont on Wednesday, January 20 in what proved to be another good win for Woodlan.
The first period was a boon for Woodlan when Ellie Kayser kept scoring including her last second shot from the three point line that boosted the team’s morale as they more than doubled Fremont’s points. The next quarter was close when Woodlan only had two more than the opposition giving a halftime score of 18-29. It was the first half that saved the Warriors.
Woodlan kept close in the second half with points by Kenzie Salzbrenner, Rain Hinton and both Samantha Voors and Samantha Houser. Keeping close behind the Fremont team, they didn’t let their lead gained in the first slide too far.
Kenzie was also honored at this game; this was her last home game for Woodlan as she graduates this spring.
