Michael Anthony Altic, 66, of Antwerp passed away at home on Monday, April 11, 2016.
Mike was born in Fort Wayne on May 18, 1949, son of the late Betty Louise (Brown) and William Albert Altic, Sr.
Mike proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He brought the same dedication and pride to his job at MacDonald Machinery, Fort Wayne. Mike’s heart was always with his family, who understood his love for Colts Football, cars and racing. Building car engines was a joy to him, but burnouts were his specialty!
Mike will be sadly missed by his wife, Debi (nee Champion), whom he married June 22, 1974; daughters, Michelle Lynn (Jim) Chieffo, Dawn Renee (Gary) Jackson, Tammy Marie (Tom) Mitchell & Carrie Elizabeth (Michael Adams) Monnier; siblings, Ruth (Dan) Kaufman, Deb (the late Jim) Ricard, Vicky (Neal) Vachon, Tina (Bill) Galbreath, Traci (Denny) O’Donnell & Steve, Shane, Shawn (the late Judy) & Greg (Peggy) Altic; sisters-in-law, Debbie & Pam Altic; 13 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bill, Chris, Mark & Jeff.
Mike’s funeral service is Saturday, 11 am, with viewing one hour prior at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp.
Viewing is also Friday, 2 – 8 pm.
He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, with military honors.
