Max Edward Hoeppner

HoeppnerMax73050Max Edward Hoeppner, 76, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016. Born in Woodburn, IN, Max worked for over 55 years in the construction field, with the last 25 years as an owner of Hoeppner Construction Corporation before retiring. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Woodburn, a past elder and served on various committees of the church. He was an active volunteer and past board member of Woodburn Lutheran School, past member of Associated Builders and Contractors and the Woodburn Park board.

Max was a kind, loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was a very giving person of his time and efforts to others and will be missed by all. (His Master replied: “Well done good and faithful servant” Matthew 25:23.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Dulanna Hoeppner of Woodburn, IN; sons, Mark Hoeppner of Woodburn, IN and Scott (Jenny) Hoeppner of Prosper, TX; grandchildren Hannah (C J) Hoeppner-Stephensen of Payne, OH, Chase Hoeppner of Prosper, TX, Caroline Hoeppner and Kathryn Hoeppner of Woodburn, IN; great-granddaughter, Paige Alber of Payne, OH; sister, Betty (Frank) Becker of Decatur, IN. Max was preceded in death by his parents William and Erna Hoeppner, brothers, Gilbert and Howard Hoeppner, sister, Rosella Schlatter, grandson, Austin William Hoeppner.

Funeral Service is 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4421 Park, Woodburn, IN with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be Monday, May 2, 2016, from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Fort Wayne, IN.
